August 15—CompView needed a complete site redesign, showcasing their portfolio of custom installations, and optimized for search engines. Alpha developed a Content Management System for the CompView staff to add products, portfolio case studies and maintain their evolving page content. Search Engine Optimization was a top priority to CompView and Alpha worked with an SEO consultant from the project onset to ensure that the Information Architecture would be efficient and complete.
The site is built with the Symfony Web Framework. Many of the features were implemented using Symfony plugins which reduced our development timeline and increased developer productivity while also increasing application quality. The application architecture is also scalable so that new features can easily be added without modifying core application code and low risk of introducing any bugs.
Site design was completed in-house at Alpha. The discovery process included interviewing key stakeholders, conducting competitive analysis research, and surveying the existing client base about functionality and usability.
